What we wear can say a lot about us, literally. But with our pop idols stepping out in tees that read, "Talentless But Connected" and "I'll Have Your Baby, Brad," well, we're not saying much. Whatever happened to the social statements that real history makers wore proudly? Designer/rock historian Steve Coe's vintage rock-inspired t-shirt line, Worn Free, brings back the designs donned by rock n' roll, radical and revolutionary legends. Reissued on " vintage soft" cotton are John Lennon's favorite " You Are Here" and " Working Class Hero" tees, Frank Zappa's signature " Radio 'Clyde" shirt and rock poster artist John Van Hamersveld-designed "Crazy World Ain't It" shirt that Mick Jagger rocked in a 1972 New Musical Express layout. Each shirt's hang tag tells the story of its significance, with blessings from Yoko Ono and Gail Zappa themselves. Perfect for carrying on a message a little more understated then, say, Britney's "I [heart] to f*ck." www.wornfree.com
